FOHS is a PTA (Parents Teachers Association). This means we are a small group of parents‚ locals and teachers who volunteer to help raise money for our school. These funds are used to purchase essential items like books and play resources - and go towards important things like a new IT suite.

Obviously due to Covid-19, fundraising events were put on hold. However FOHS have recently collaborated with FOES from our Valley Federation partner school to bring the Circus to our villages. This was a great success for both communities whilst raising money for our schools.  

A few other examples or activities FOHS organised: we hosted a Summer Fayre with a bouncy castle‚ cakes and a bouncy castle; we recently had a refreshments stall selling homemade cakes at Hope Show; we organised the first ever village sponsored walk; we run a Bags2School scheme - these are just a few things that we did to raise money this year!

We also help with school activities like organising art sessions for the school float on Carnival Day.

The most important thing is that we support the school - and that we raise much needed funds so that our children can have a wonderful‚ enriching school experience.
